Pogba a future Ballon d'Or winner, says Marotta

Pogba a future Ballon d'Or winner, says Marotta

The Bianconeri chief is confident that the young midfielder is destined to become one of the best in the world
Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta believes that Paul Pogba has the potential to win the Fifa Ballon d'Or at some point in the future.

The France international, 20, won the 2013 Golden Boy award earlier this week ahead of players such as Romelu Lukaku and Julian Draxler and Marotta thinks Pogba will only get better in the years to come.

"I have no doubt that Pogba has what it takes to win the Ballon d'Or in the future. I hope we will achieve great things together," Marotta told reporters.

"We are all proud that Pogba is part of Juventus. We chose each other and it has turned out to be a happy marriage.

"He is no longer a future star, but he is already a great champion. He stands out for his courage, hard work and intelligence on the pitch, despite his young age."

Pogba joined Juventus from Manchester United in the summer of 2012 and has since made over 50 official appearances for the Serie A champions.
